How to Track IMEI in Pakistan

Tracking an IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number in Pakistan is typically done to:

  • Locate a lost or stolen phone
  • Report a phone as lost/stolen
  • Check the status of a device (blocked/active)

Here’s how you can track or block an IMEI in Pakistan:

🔹 Step 1: Report to PTA via DIRBS

PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) has a system called DIRBS (Device Identification Registration and Blocking System).

✅ To block or track your IMEI:

  1. Visit: https://dirbs.pta.gov.pk
  2. Select “Stolen Mobile Blocking” or go directly to the Complaint Management System (CMS):
    https://complaint.pta.gov.pk/RegisterComplaint.aspx
  3. Fill in the form with:
    • IMEI number (dial *#06# on another phone to retrieve it from the lost phone’s box or documents)
    • Owner’s name
    • CNIC number
    • Mobile number
    • Address
    • Date of loss
    • Details of the incident
  4. Submit the form.

🕒 After submission, PTA will block the IMEI across all mobile networks, preventing the phone from being used.

🔹 Step 2: Track IMEI via Police (Optional)

You can also register an FIR with your local police station. Provide:

  • IMEI number
  • Device details
  • Time/place of loss/theft

They may work with PTA or mobile networks to help locate the device.

🔹 Step 3: Contact Your Mobile Network Provider

Contact your SIM provider (Jazz, Zong, Ufone, Telenor) to:

  • Report the lost device
  • Request SIM blocking
  • Provide IMEI and device details

Some networks may assist in tracking if the SIM was in use after the phone was stolen.

🔹 Step 4: Check IMEI Status

To check if a phone is PTA approved, blacklisted, or active:
